These terms cover your use of Tub & Pool Designer Pro (“the designer”) at buildahottub.com/designer/. By using the designer, or by unlocking a design, you agree to them.
1. Who we are
The designer is run by Amandi Holdings Limited, trading as Build A Hot Tub. We are a company registered in England and Wales, company number 09530339, at 45 Buttmead, Blisworth, Northampton NN7 3DQ. Our VAT number is GB 213699886. You can contact us at andi@buildahottub.com.
2. Using the designer for free
You can use the designer without an account: design a hot tub or pool in 3D, change its size, finishes and features, and see running costs.
With a free account you can also save one design and see its parts list. We may change what is free, and how many designs a free account can save, at any time.
3. Your account
You sign in with Google or with a link we email to you. There is no password.
Keep access to your email account secure, because anyone who can open your email can sign in as you. Give us an email address you check, as that is where sign-in links, receipts and invoices go.
We can suspend or close an account that is used to break these terms, such as sharing or reselling unlocked drawings.
4. Unlocking a design
Unlocking is a one-off payment for one design. It is not a subscription.
- Price: £149 including VAT for UK customers, or $149 for US customers, as shown before you pay. We take payment through Stripe.
- What you get: the CAD build drawings, the plumbing diagram and photo-real renders for that design, kept in your account.
- UK customers receive a VAT invoice by email. US customers receive a receipt.
Once a design is unlocked, its type (hot tub or pool), shape and build method are fixed. You can still change its length and width by up to 300 mm (12″) and change its depth, finishes, jets and equipment. A different hot tub or pool needs its own design, unlocked separately.
Before you pay, you confirm you have checked your design and understand that it will be fixed.
5. Your right to cancel
The drawings are digital content supplied straight away. At checkout you ask us to supply them immediately and confirm that you understand you lose your 14-day right to cancel once the design is unlocked. If you do not tick that box, you cannot pay.
This does not affect your legal rights if the drawings are faulty or not as described. If something is wrong with them, contact us and we will put it right or refund you.
If we refund a payment, the design is locked again.
6. What you can do with the drawings
An unlocked design is licensed to you for one build of that hot tub or pool. Every drawing is marked with your email address and design reference.
You can share the drawings with the builders, installers, engineers and suppliers working on that build. You cannot sell them, publish them, or reuse them for another build or another customer. Trade users need a separate unlock for each customer’s design.
We keep the copyright in the designer and in every drawing it produces.
7. Drawings are a guide, not a substitute for professional advice
The designer is for private homes only, not commercial or public pools and hot tubs.
The drawings follow standard details and err on the side of caution. Where a design falls outside those details, the designer says a structural engineer is needed. You must follow that advice.
You are responsible for:
- planning permission and building regulations (or local codes in the US)
- having a qualified electrician design and install the electrics
- checking the ground, groundwater and site conditions where you build
- having a structural engineer check the design wherever the designer says so, or wherever your local authority or building control asks
The control room (pumps, filter and heater) must sit below the water line, as you confirm when you start a design.
The parts list links to products on parts4tubs.co.uk and parts4tubs.com. Prices and stock there can change, and each shop’s own terms apply to anything you buy.
8. Our responsibility to you
We take reasonable care that the designer works and the drawings are accurate. We are not responsible for losses we could not reasonably foresee, or for losses caused by building without the checks in section 7.
Our total liability for an unlocked design is limited to the price you paid for it. Nothing in these terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else the law does not allow us to limit.
9. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. The version in force when you unlock a design applies to that design.
10. Law
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. If you live elsewhere in the UK, you can also bring a claim in your local courts.
