Video Summary
This video is about Paul’s DIY hot tub project in the UK. Paul has been building his hot tub with the help of Andi from Buildahottub.com. Andi has helped Paul with the plumbing design, parts, and other aspects of the project.
Paul is almost finished with the hot tub and is planning to fill it up and use it with his friends.
The hot tub is made of curved concrete tiled seating and has 5-6 jets, a drain, and 4 inlets. Paul also has a wood burner and outdoor speakers.
The hot tub is located in a beautiful setting in the middle of nowhere. Paul is grateful for Andi’s help and says that having someone to act as a sounding board has been involuable to him and the project.
Here are some additional details about the hot tub project:
- The hot tub is 5-6 feet long and 3-4 feet wide.
- The hot tub is 2-3 feet deep.
- The hot tub has a wood burner that can heat the water to 104 degrees Fahrenheit.
- The hot tub has outdoor speakers that can be connected to a Bluetooth device.
- Paul is planning to add a solar thermal panel to the hot tub to help heat the water.
- Paul is also planning to add a cover to the hot tub to help keep the water warm.
Paul is excited to finish his hot tub project and enjoy it with his friends and family.

Hi, Andi here. I own Buildahottub.com and also write all of the articles and info pages on the site. Some years back now, I built my own hot tub but struggled to find the information I needed. So, once my tub was complete, I started this website to help others in their own pursuit of hot tub and plunge pools DIY building information.
Today, I've helped over 1000 DIY customers just like you all over the world build hot tubs and pools. Have a good look around the site, there are lots of resources here. Please do get in touch if I can help you. - Cheers, Andi
